The Global Economy and Development program at The Brookings Institution (Brookings) is accepting applications for a Senior Fellow, Development Assistance and Governance Initiative position.
The successful candidate will be a scholar of international stature with expertise in international economics and development, with particular attention to economic growth, sustainability, and poverty reduction. The candidate must have extensive experience working on development and governance issues. While the candidate’s specific research program will depend to some extent on the scholar’s interests and background, key research areas should include financing models for development.
Ph.D is required, with a minimum of two years of post-doctoral research or policy-related experience, a proven record of leadership and engagement in the global policy debates on development and poverty reduction, and of publishing in professional or academic journals, edited volumes, and/or policy-oriented publications. The candidate is expected to work on policy-relevant papers and/or books, competently lead issue-focused meetings, high-level conferences and other events, and interact with other Brookings scholars, current and potential funders, the wider policy community, and the media.
