The Brookings Institution’s Center for Health Policy, within the Economic Studies program, conducts policy analysis and original research on a variety of health care topics. Our research aims to increase understanding of how the health care system works and what can be done to make it work better.
The broader Economic Studies program also analyzes current and emerging economic policy issues facing the United States and the world, focusing on job creation, regulation, fiscal and monetary policy, and promoting broadly-shared economic growth. Economic Studies’ scholars influence key economic policies by conducting rigorous and relevant research and then disseminating their findings to the policy community and to the broader public.
The Center for Health Policy is accepting applications for scholars with interest in and research experience on policy-relevant health care topics, with a particular interest in payment and regulatory policy toward prescription drugs. This individual will conduct original research and policy analysis, advise lawmakers, speak publicly, and answer media inquiries.
